Getting ready for a long day of flying . . .

You may or may not know that I'm about to depart for Greece. It's going to be a trip mixing picturesque islands and historical sites. I wasn't involved much in the planning process, so I'm along for the ride on this one. I am traveling with my Dad, so there's always a possibility of ending up at some obscure art museum, 45 mins from civilization, and with a guest book with just 14 names on it.
Anyway, when I got on my computer this morning, Greece was front and center in the Washington Post. Unfortunately, it was not a promo in the travel section, but an ominous article stating that Greece is in a rough place. Billions in debt and facing over 22% unemployment, its citizens are a bit . . .angry. Just for comparison's sake, the often talked about high unemployment in California is hovering around 8% last I checked.

I don't expect to see these kinds of things during my trip, but who knows. There isn't much of a working government right now, so things could boil up a bit. It's a tricky situation akin to America being trillions in debt, but voters insisting on lower taxes.
On that joyful note, I need to pack my bags.
