It has almost been a year since I went to Greece with the parents. Finally, another trip is in the works. However, I will be traveling with a different face -- that of the lovely Nicole. Yes, the same Nicole that is part of everyone's favorite celebrity couple -- Bricole. We are bound for Europe, specifically Paris, Bruges, and Amsterdam. I will be able to chalk off two new countries that I have never been to before. And while I have been to Paris in the past, I have never had a digital camera while I was there, so that changes things a bit. I was using a point-and-shoot Pentax that shot on APS film back then. This was obsolete technology 10 years ago. Now that I'm equipped with a nice digital camera, I can actually take good photos. I am also expecting arrival of the latest GoPro, since my parents decided they wanted to have my old one for their current trip to Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. Their adventures can be followed here. When the new GoPro arrives, I will be capable of shooting video at 4k (higher than HD). While this tech feature is highly impressive, it is currently relatively useless in terms of projection since most TVs aren't capable of displaying it, and you definitely won't be able to view it (full res) on YouTube should I upload any of it. That being said, it's just . . . cool . . . and someday we will all have 4k TVs. Stay tuned for more updates in May!
