Today we woke up to overcast skies, but wandered out early to take photos anyway. The sun broke through just enough to give us some nice reflections in the river.
After maybe 20 minutes, it started to rain - and just as in Forrest Gump, it seemed to come out of nowhere. It went from feeling a drop on my head to a quick downpour. We took shelter under a tarp by a market, snapping some more pictures of the river from safety.
And as Forrest would say, "Then someone come and turned off all the rain." We proceeded through the market - Greg stopping often to take pictures of people - who in turn made him pay for the privilege. As we headed back to the main street from the market, I turned around and saw the sun poking through, so I shot off a 3-exposure burst to give you this final image.
In a bit, we will be picking up our shirts. Hopefully there are no upside-down pockets. One can only expect so much for a tailor-made shirt overnight. Then in a few hours we are taking a taxi to Da Nang. I will talk to you then!
